Samar town provides rice and transport aid to teachers in remote areas
Manila, Sept. 9 -- The local government of Maslog, Eastern Samar, will provide rice, transportation, and fuel assistance to municipal-paid teachers (MPTs), particularly those assigned in remote communities.
Mayor Septemio Santiago said on Wednesday that the program will benefit MPTs assigned to the remote villages of Carayacay, Taytay, Tugas, Libertad, and San Roque.
They will receive six kilograms of rice every week.
Teachers assigned to remote areas and who travel home weekly will also receive transportation assistance for their Monday trips to their assigned schools and Friday trips back home.
