India, Sept. 23 -- Rescuers in Valencia City, Bukidnon on Tuesday continued their search for three remaining victims of a recent flash flood.

Jovenone Ellacone, head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), said eight people were initially reported missing after the Sept. 17 flooding, but five have since been found.

"Our specific activities at the moment are digging up the areas where K9 units have alerted the rescuers," he said in an interview.

Ellacone said K9 units from the Army and the Philippine Coast Guard were deployed. The CDRRMOs of Cagayan de Oro City and Opol, Misamis Oriental also provided additional support to the retrieval operations.
