Manila, Sept. 22 -- The national and local government personnel on Monday started the removal of broken-down trucks and buses occupying two lanes along Carmen portion of Commonwealth Avenue to ease traffic in the area.
In a statement on Monday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said the removal of the vehicles was in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order to clear major thoroughfares of obstacles.
"Dahil dito, dalawang lanes sa Commonwealth ang nabuksan pa at pwede nang magamit ulit ng mga motorista (Because of this, two lanes along Commonwealth have been immediately opened and are immediately usable again for motorists)," the DOTr said.
