Manila, Feb. 27 -- The Philippine Navy (PN) on Friday said its capabilities to monitor and protect the country's vast maritime territories will get a big boost with the commissioning of its first brand-new offshore patrol vessel (OPV), BRP Rajah Sulayaman (PS-20), and the deliveries of its sister ships in the coming months.
"They (BRP Rajah Sulayman and sister ships) significantly enhance the Navy's operational reach and help maintain sustained presence in key strategic areas," PN spokesperson Capt. Marissa Martinez told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) Friday.
