MANILA, Oct. 3 -- The Quezon City government has mobilized its resources to assist Cebu residents in the aftermath of the devastating magnitude 6.9 earthquake that hit the province and other parts of Eastern Visayas areas on Tuesday.

In a statement on Friday, the city government said that it has deployed a team of 26 personnel to Cebu to provide technical and humanitarian support.

The group includes engineers and disaster risk reduction experts who will help in the conduct of building and infrastructure damage assessments, as well as medical and psychosocial teams to deliver immediate care to affected residents.
