BACOLOD CITY, July 18 -- The Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) has raised concern on the unjust vexation charges filed against Bacolod-based journalist Marchel Espina, former editor-in-chief of SunStar Cebu, over an opinion piece published by the community newspaper in December 2024.

Espina voluntarily surrendered to the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Negros Island Region Field Unit and posted a bail of PHP6,000 at the Regional Trial Court (RTC) here on Friday.
