Manila, Sept. 3 -- The House prosecution panel in Vice President Sara Z. Duterte's impeachment trial is considering skipping the bribery charge against her and proceeding directly to present evidence on her alleged unexplained wealth.

Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon, a member of the House prosecution panel, said the team is weighing the strength of the remaining Articles of Impeachment against its goal of completing the trial promptly.

"There are conversations as to iyong pagtutuloy po ng bribery o hindi pagtutuloy ng bribery, at pagdiretso na po sa (continuing or not continuing with bribery charge and going straight to the) unexplained wealth article," Ridon said in a House press conference.
