Property prices record slowest growth in 7 years
Manila, Sept. 25 -- Residential property price growth in the Philippines slowed to just 0.4 percent in the second quarter of 2026, marking the weakest expansion since the first quarter of 2019.
According to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) report released Friday, the deceleration was primarily driven by falling real estate values in provinces outside the National Capital Region (NCR), which offset ongoing price gains within Metro Manila.
Residential property prices in the NCR managed an increase of 5.2 percent for the April-June period.
For areas outside NCR, property prices went down by 2.7 percent.
By housing type, the BSP said price trends were mixed.
