CAMP OLIVAS, July 17 -- The Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3) relieved from their posts the police officers involved in a mistaken identity incident in Baliwag City, Bulacan.

In a statement released Friday, PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez said the incident occurred on Thursday while officers were conducting a follow-up operation based on information related to a complaint under investigation.

"Upon realizing that the individual concerned was not the subject of the information being acted upon, the personnel immediately discontinued their engagement and left the area," Mendez said.
