Manila, Sept. 24 -- Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Wednesday said power restoration activities continue for the remaining 1,700 customers in Bulacan, Metro Manila, Batangas, and Cavite affected by the impact of Super Typhoon Nando (International name Ragasa) and the southwest monsoon (habagat).
"We are now conducting mopping up operations and our crews will not stop until we restore service to the affected customers," Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe Zaldarriaga said in a statement.
On top of this, the power distribution utility said it is also on heightened alert for the possible impact of Tropical Storm Opong and "habagat."
