India, March 3 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) will review the use of its mobility assets amid rising fuel prices linked to the Middle East conflict.

"We need to prepare and plan for this scenario without sacrificing our mandate to be more visible, more responsive, and more reliable in terms of ensuring the safety of the people in every street and in every community," PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement Tuesday.

He directed police chiefs and support unit heads to conduct the review under the Directorate for Operations and concerned national and regional offices.
