Manila, Aug. 12 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. ordered a thorough probe into a shooting incident in Cavite province that resulted in the killing two people, including a police officer.

The shooting occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in a resort in Maragondon town, where another police officer was injured while the suspect, also a police officer, was arrested and is now under the custody of the local police.

Nartatez said the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being established.
