Manila, Aug. 5 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) said Wednesday it is strengthening its anti-kidnapping capability by expanding specialized investigative and crisis negotiation training across the organization.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. made the remarks while commending the Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) for completing the two-week Specialized Training on Investigations and Negotiations in Kidnapping Situations, held in partnership with the German Embassy.

The course was given at the Summit Hotel and Resort in San Juan City from July 20 to 31, covering communication and negotiation, victim-based risk analysis, negotiations on social media, the use of artificial intelligence, and financial investigation.
