Manila, March 16 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. has reaffirmed his commitment to modernizing the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) to better prepare future police officers for evolving law enforcement and peace and order challenges.

Speaking at the 46th PNPA Grand Alumni Homecoming in Silang, Cavite, on Saturday, Nartatez said that as one of the country's main sources of police officers, the PNPA must ensure cadets are ready to adapt to real-world conditions once they graduate.
