PNP, Fujian cops ink deal to combat transnational crimes
Manila, Aug. 6 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) strengthened its partnership with China's Fujian Provincial Public Security Department to boost intelligence sharing and law enforcement cooperation against transnational criminal syndicates.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. welcomed Wang Xizhang, executive director general of the Fujian Provincial Public Security Department, during a courtesy visit at the Star Officer's Lounge in Camp Crame on Tuesday.
In a statement on Thursday, Nartatez said the meeting reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between the two law enforcement agencies and focused on expanding cooperation against transnational crime, cybercrime, kidnapping and other shared security concerns.
