Manila, Oct. 1 -- The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded 379 aftershocks from the magnitude 6.9 offshore Cebu earthquake as of 4 a.m. Wednesday.
At least 100 of the aftershocks were plotted or located.
Magnitudes of aftershocks ranged from 1.4 to 4.8.
The strong earthquake jolted Cebu province late Tuesday. Its epicenter was located 21 km. northeast of Bogo City.
Intensity V was felt in Argao, Cebu; City of Sipalay, Negros Occidental; City of Lapu-Lapu; and City of Tacloban.
