Manila, May 2 -- First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Saturday expressed the Philippines' readiness to welcome the heads of state and delegates to the 48th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leader's Summit in Cebu.
Araneta-Marcos convened a meeting with Leaders' Liaison Officers at Malacanan Palace in Manila on April 30 as part of government preparations for the summit, scheduled May 7 and 8.
In a Facebook post, the First Lady said the liaison officers "will be guiding each delegation every step of the way."
"Good teamwork, great results," she said. "Because real Filipino hospitality is in the little things done right."
