PH football team whips Myanmar, Guam in Tri-Nation Friendlies
Manila, June 10 -- The Philippine men's football swept its matches in the Manila Tri-Nation Friendlies, capped by a 5-1 win over Myanmar at Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila on Tuesday night.
The result extended the national team's unbeaten streak to 15 months, dating back to the start of the 2027 AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Asian Cup Qualifiers in March 2025.
It also boosted the team's morale ahead of the ASEAN Championship, also known as the Hyundai Cup, where they will meet Myanmar again on July 28.
The Philippines will also face Laos (Aug. 1), Thailand (Aug. 4) and Malaysia (Aug. 8).
