Manila, Feb. 20 -- Malacanang on Friday emphasized the importance of the Philippines' cyber defense partnership with Canada in strengthening the country's national cybersecurity posture amid the evolving cyber threats.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the Philippines is stepping up its collaboration with other countries like Canada and Japan to address state-sponsored attacks and espionage, foreign interference and misinformation, ransomware and data breaches, critical infrastructure protection, talent and infrastructure gaps.
