MANILA, Aug. 21 -- The Philippine Army (PA) on Thursday announced that its Cessna 172L aircraft held a series of maritime air patrol (MARPAT) missions over the coastal areas of Northeastern Luzon from Aug. 16 to 19, as part of its maritime domain awareness efforts.
The Cessna 172L was flown by Special Mission Aviation Company, of the Army Aviation Regiment (AAR), PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said in a statement.
"The mission covered the archipelagic waters and territorial seas over Aurora, Isabela, Cagayan, the Calayan Group of Islands, and the Philippine Rise," he added.
No other details were provided regarding the MARPAT mission due to security reasons.
