Manila, Sept. 28 -- The Philippine government and the UK-ASEAN Business Council are exploring stronger partnerships in education, training and workforce development to prepare Filipino workers for emerging industries and create more high quality jobs.

In a statement Monday, the Department of Finance said Government Corporations and Investments Group Undersecretary Ma. Angela Ignacio participated in a roundtable meeting on Sept. 21, where she highlighted the Philippines' growing pool of skilled workers and its potential to support advanced industries and attract more investments.
