PCSO sends additional relief aid to quake-hit Mindanao areas
Manila, June 17 -- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has dispatched additional "ChariTimba" food packs to residents affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck parts of Mindanao last week.
The relief goods were loaded into a Philippine Air Force (PAF) C-295 aircraft at Villamor Air Base and departed for General Santos City at around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles said the agency continues to work closely with national and local government partners to ensure that relief aid reaches affected families as quickly as possible.
