Manila, Oct. 5 -- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), in partnership with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and PCSO authorized agent corporations, sent off an aid caravan on Sunday to deliver relief and medical assistance to communities devastated by recent natural disasters in Cebu and Masbate.

The caravan included 12 patient transport vehicles (PTVs), five dump trucks and six wing vans loaded with medical supplies, disaster response equipment and relief goods.

It carried at least 18,000 "charitimba" (charity pails), 4,000 evacuation kits, 664 boxes of medicines, and nearly 8,000 additional relief items, amounting to around PHP50 million.
