Manila, Sept. 23 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued six survivors and recovered one body from the fishing boat "JOBHENZ" that capsized in the coastal waters of Barangay San Vicente in Santa Ana, Cagayan on Monday.

In a situation report on Tuesday, the PCG said 13 fisherfolk were confirmed to be on board when the fishing boat took shelter from the onslaught of Super Typhoon Nando but later capsized.

"Based on the initial investigation, the said watercraft, while on anchor at said vicinity, was hit by successive waves and battered by strong winds, causing the boat to tilt and eventually capsized," it said.
