PCG finds foreign-marked debris in Batangas coast
Manila, June 16 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) found an unidentified debris with Chinese markings along the shore of Sitio Talim, Barangay Luyahan in Lian, Batangas on Monday.
In an advisory on Tuesday, the PCG said a concerned citizen found the metallic debris and reported it to PCG personnel for verification and assessment.
"Upon inspection, the object measured approximately 20 feet in length and 10.5 feet in width, and appeared to be made of aluminum material with visible foreign characters," it said.
Initial investigation shows the Chinese characters may refer to "Antenna Transmission Window 5" and the origin and nature of the debris remain unknown.
