Manila, Sept. 23 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction of an underground station of the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) in Quezon City.

Marcos visited the Quezon Avenue Station, which is part of Contract Package (CP) 102 awarded to the joint venture between Nishimatsu Construction Company Limited and D.M. Consunji Inc.

CP 102, with a total contract amount of PHP25.538 billion, covers the construction of a 3.1-kilometer tunnel railway and two underground stations - Quezon Avenue and East Avenue.

To date, tunnel boring works for the section connecting the Quezon Avenue and East Avenue stations have been completed.
