PBBM, German president set talks on defense, trade, energy
Manila, June 11 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss defense cooperation, trade and investment, renewable energy and other key areas of mutual interest.
In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced that Steinmer will embark on a state visit in the Philippines on June 15 to 17.
Marcos will welcome Steinmeier at Malacanan Palace in Manila during his state visit.
"President Marcos and Steinmeier are expected to discuss issues of mutual interest, including defense, peacebuilding, maritime cooperation, trade and investment, climate change, renewable energy, and people-to-people exchanges," the PCO said.
