MANILA, Oct. 4 -- Malacanang has declared a series of special non-working holidays in October and November in recognition of significant local events.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Sept. 30 signed Proclamations 1045, 1046, 1047, 1048, 1049, 1050, and 1051 to allow communities to honor their unique cultural heritage and historical milestones.

Under Proclamation 1045, Oct. 9 is a special non-working holiday in San Isidro, Surigao del Norte to mark the municipality's 66th founding anniversary.

Proclamation 1046 designates Oct. 16 as a holiday in Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur in celebration of the town's 68th founding anniversary.
