PAGASA: 'Habagat' likely to last end of Sept, less rain expected
Manila, Sept. 4 -- "Habagat" (southwest monsoon) is expected to last until end of September, but the weather bureau expects "relatively less rains" compared to what the country had experienced for the past weeks, the head of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday.
"Relatively less rains compared to previous weeks is expected because the tropical cyclones north of the Philipines are weak and far," PAGASA Administrator Nathaniel Servando told the Philippine News Agency in an interview.
