SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, July 28 -- The Pag-IBIG Fund helped 3,250 Antiquenos benefit from the Special Assistance for Financial Emergencies (SAFE), aimed to cushion the impact of the Middle East crisis.

Under the program, qualified members can avail themselves of the PHP10,000 loan, payable in one year or up to three years, with a three-month grace period.

The amount will be credited to the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus or the Land Bank of the Philippines cash card within three days upon the filing of application.

"A total of 3,250 applications have been processed under the SAFE from June 15 until today," Pag-IBIG Fund Antique branch manager Donald Alton Cahilo said in an interview on Tuesday.
