BUTUAN CITY, July 30 -- The construction and development of the PHP100-million Gaas Inlet Eco-Tourism in Dinagat Islands will soon proceed following Wednesday's memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) and the Dinagat Islands provincial government.

Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. and TIEZA chief operating officer Mark Lapid signed the agreement in Manila.

"The PHP100-million Gaas Inlet Eco-Tourism development will not only showcase our natural beauty but also strengthen our province's standing as a rising eco-tourism destination in the region," Demerey told the Philippine News Agency in a Thursday interview.
