Manila, Sept. 8 -- A new PHP10 million Super Health Center has opened in Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte, expanding access to primary health care for residents in the municipality and nearby communities.

The Department of Health (DOH) in Ilocos Region said Tuesday that the facility was funded through the Health Facilities Enhancement Program for fiscal year 2023.

The center was built through a partnership between the DOH and the local government of Nueva Era, an upland municipality known for its rolling hills and agricultural landscapes.

It will provide diagnostic services, outpatient care, pharmacy services and emergency maternal and medical care, allowing residents to access basic health services without traveling to distant cities.
