Manila, March 24 -- More than 2,200 security personnel have been deployed to secure the 44th ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) Chairs Meeting in Boracay this week.

Of the total, 1,720 personnel are from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), with support from 528 members of the Sub-Site Task Group on Emergency Preparedness and Response.

In a statement Tuesday, the PNP said the deployment aims to ensure peace, order, and a safe environment for delegates and visitors during the meeting, which runs from Tuesday to Friday.
