Manila, July 24 -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Thursday urged communities, particularly in high-risk areas in Luzon, to remain vigilant and heed government warnings as the threat of flooding and landslide remains high due to the prolonged severe weather.
"Dahil nga tuloy-tuloy ang pag-ulan, mataas pa rin ang posibilidad na magkaroon ng patuloy na pagbaha at landslide sa mga lugar na identified as high risk (Due to continuous heavy rains, there's still a huge possibility that there will be flooding and landslides in areas identified as high risk)," OCD officer-in-charge Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV said in a statement.
