Manila, March 13 -- A huge part of the country, especially in Northern Luzon, will experience rains caused by the northeast monsoon or "amihan," the weather bureau said on Friday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will experience light rains.
The rest of Luzon, the Visayas, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao will experience isolated light rains.
Isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.
