NGCP: Power 'bill shock' probe to address long-standing issues
TACLOBAN CITY, July 17 -- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has welcomed a Senate resolution seeking an inquiry into rising electricity rates and consumer complaints over "bill shock," saying the probe could help address long-standing issues in the power sector.
NGCP spokesperson Cynthia Alabanza, speaking during a briefing here on Friday, said the inquiry would bring together key stakeholders in the power industry to examine the causes of increasing electricity costs.
