Manila, Aug. 20 -- Tropical Depression Neneng accelerated, moving west northwest at 30 km. per hour (kph), the weather bureau said on Thursday.

It was located 390 km. north of Itbayat, Batanes as of 4 a.m.

The cyclone packs maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

No wind signal is hoisted on any part of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

However, most of Luzon and Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region will experience strong to gale-force gusts due to the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat.
