Manila, April 23 -- More than 3,500 job vacancies will be offered in Negros Oriental during a Labor Day job fair on May 1, the 124th Labor Day celebration.

Public Employment Service Office (PESO) manager Ailen Balsamo said during a forum on Thursday that about 20 employers - 17 local and three overseas - will participate.

Local openings include call center agents, massage therapists, and sales clerks. Overseas jobs include factory workers in Taiwan, female cleaners in the Middle East, and waiters and waitresses in the Middle East and Europe.

The job fair, to be held at the Ninoy Aquino Freedom Park, will also feature a one-stop shop with government services.
