TACLOBAN CITY, July 16 -- The National Electrification Administration (NEA) has designated an experienced electric cooperative manager to help the Northern Samar Electric Cooperative (Norsamelco) address operational challenges amid rising electricity rates in the province.

In a statement Thursday, the office of Northern Samar Rep. Edwin Ongchuan said NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda appointed engineer Jerry Morastil, general manager of the Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative (Dasureco), as project supervisor for Norsamelco.
