Manila, July 24 -- The reported deaths from the adverse effects of the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones Crising (Wipha), Dante (Francisco) and Emong (Co-May) have climbed to 12, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Thursday.
In its latest situation report, the agency said only two of these fatalities have been confirmed -- one each in Northern Mindanao and Caraga.
Meanwhile, 10 fatalities are being verified - three in Calabarzon; two each in Northern Mindanao and Western Visayas, and one each in Davao region, Mimaropa and the National Capital Region (NCR).
