Manila, Sept. 21 -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Monday said it would intensify its campaign against illegal drugs as the "ber" months begin and economic activity increases.

With the anticipated release of additional income and increased consumer spending during the holiday season, the NCRPO said it is strengthening its preventive and intelligence-driven measures to prevent illegal drug syndicates from exploiting the period of increased cash flow and heightened public activity.
