Manila, Sept. 10 -- National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) acting chief Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano on Thursday said the crime rate in Metro Manila dropped by 51.47 percent from Aug. 23 to Sept. 8, particularly in the eight focus crimes.

The eight focus crimes include murder, homicide, physical injury and rape or crimes against persons; and robbery, theft, carnapping and motorcycle theft or crimes against property.
