Manila, Aug. 12 -- Charges for violation of the cybercrime law have been filed against two Malaysian nationals, Chong Hong Yee and Kim Chui Tan, following their arrest in Cebu City, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said Tuesday.
In a statement, the NBI said the charges were filed after illicit electronic equipment was seized from the suspects on Aug. 8, 2025 by a team of NBI agents and officers from the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center (CICC), the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
