Iloilo City, July 28 -- The southwest monsoon or "habagat" intensified by tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong has left six people dead, three missing, and prompted four municipalities in Western Visayas to declare a state of calamity, officials said Monday.
Maria Christina Mayor, spokesperson for the Office of Civil Defense in Western Visayas (OCD VI), said the six deaths are being validated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), which leads efforts in managing casualties and missing persons.
