Manila, Sept. 17 -- The local chief executives of Metro Manila on Tuesday approved a street parking ban on national primary roads and the prohibition of parking on national secondary roads in Metro Manila during designated time periods to alleviate traffic congestion.
During the Metro Manila Council meeting at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Head Office in Pasig City, Metro Manila mayors passed the MMDA Regulation No. 25-001 entitled "Harmonizing Public Street Parking in Metro Manila and for Other Purposes," which sets the guidelines of the policy as well as the identification of thoroughfares where street parking is not allowed.
