Manila, July 23 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is in the final stages of preparing and reviewing his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA), which he will deliver at the Batasang Pambansa Complex on July 27, Malacanang said Thursday.

In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos himself has been writing his SONA.

"Sa ngayon po, ang Pangulo po ay malapit na matapos at niri-review ang kaniyang speech (As of now, the President is nearly finished and is reviewing his speech)," she said.

Castro declined to disclose details about the topics or issues expected to be covered in Marcos' annual address. She said the President is almost done reviewing the speech but added that she has yet to see or hear its final vers...
