Manila, Dec. 15 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has expressed satisfaction over the progress and reforms in the country's agriculture sector, noting efforts that aim to strengthen farmers' and fishers' livelihoods.
At a Palace briefing on Monday, Press Officer Claire Castro said the President commended initiatives under the Department of Agriculture (DA), including the establishment of 33 agri-food hub units in Pampanga, Quezon, Camarines Sur, and Bukidnon.
"The Agri-Food Hub is designed to boost market linkages for agricultural products," Castro said in Filipino. "It also seeks to enhance the livelihood of farmers and fishers."
