Manila, Dec. 12 -- Children and senior citizens in the city of Manila are advised to visit health centers and district hospitals to avail of free flu vaccine as the country experiences cold weather.

In a social media post on Friday, the city government said there are 14,000 flu vaccines available in local health facilities.

"This aims to provide additional protection to the children, also to our senior citizens, to prevent illness during this cold weather," the post added.

The local government unit said the vaccines are available until supplies last.

"The City Government of Manila sincerely thanks our partner Distriphil for donating 14,000 flu vaccines that are currently being used by the government," it said.
