India, Sept. 23 -- A proposal has been revived in Baguio City mandating motorcycle and bicycle riders to wear reflectorized vests at night and during times of low visibility due to fog.
"The new proposal lays down clear rules to safeguard motorcycle and bicycle riders by requiring the use of high-visibility vests within the city's territorial jurisdiction," Jordan Habbiling, Baguio City Council information officer, said in an interview on Tuesday.
He said the proposal, reintroduced by Councilor Leandro Yangot Jr., aims to ensure rider visibility on the road to prevent accidents.
