Manila, Oct. 11 -- A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck Zambales at 5:32 p.m. on Saturday, and was felt in Bulacan, La Union, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Pangasinan.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the epicenter of the tectonic earthquake with a 100-kilometer depth was in Cabangan, Zambales.
Intensity III was recorded in Cabangan and Iba, Zambales; Intensity II in Calumpit, Bulacan, San Fernando, and La Union; Guimba, Nueva Ecija; Bani town, and Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Santa Ignacia, Tarlac City, and Ramos, Tarlac; and Botolan, Subic and San Marcelino, Zambales.
The Pangasinan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office recorded Intensity I in Lingayen town.
